Explanation of the Process

At Haymarket Dental - Implant, Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, we have revolutionized tooth replacement with our unique approach. Instead of expensive bone grafts and lengthy recovery periods, we employ a specialized technique. By removing any remaining teeth and strategically placing 4-6 implants in each arch, we have achieved exceptional results for our patients. Our personalized All-On-4 procedure is tailored to each individual's anatomy, ensuring optimal outcomes.

Throughout the procedure, temporary fixed bridges are affixed to allow for integration of the implants with the jawbones and healing of the mouth. Once the healing process is complete, our highly skilled doctor and lab technician will craft the final teeth using zirconia. This material surpasses acrylic denture teeth in both strength and natural appearance. Additionally, zirconia is more hygienic and stain-resistant, guaranteeing a longer lifespan and superior aesthetic compared to the commonly used acrylic/titanium hybrid bridges found elsewhere.

The timeline for the All-On-4 procedure is as follows:

The procedure typically takes 4-6 hours, depending on whether you are treating one arch (upper or lower) or both arches (full mouth). After leaving our office, your temporary bridge(s) will be securely attached to your new implants. These temporary bridges will be worn for 4 months to allow for the implants to integrate with your bone and for your jaws and gums to heal. This healing time ensures the best fit for your final bridges. Once the healing is complete, we will begin creating your final bridge(s). This process will involve several appointments over a 5-6 week period, during which you will have the opportunity to customize the appearance of your permanent teeth.

CONSULT

This is the first step in the full arch process. During this appointment, you will meet with your Dr. Kurt O. Bally DMD FICOI to discuss your needs and options for dental implants. The consultation will typically take about an hour. This first and free visit is $525 value.
STEP 1
STEP 2

RECORDS

Your dentist will take a series of records, including dental x-rays, 3D scans, and photographs. These records will be used to create a treatment plan and to fabricate your dental implants.

PRE-SURGICAL CONSULT

This appointment is held before the surgery to discuss the risks and benefits of the procedure, as well as the recovery process. You will also have a chance to ask any questions you may have.
STEP 3
STEP 4

SURGERY

This is the procedure where the implants are placed into your jawbone. The surgery typically takes about 2 hours per jaw and is done safely with oral anesthesia. All patients leave with their new temporary teeth on the day of the surgery and will return within 1-2 weeks to have their first post-op visit and receive their fist implant prototype teeth. It is important to remain on a very soft diet after surgery and before receiving your first prototype.

PROTOTYPES

1-2 weeks after your surgery you will return to check your healing and receive your first set of implant prototype teeth that will be attached directly to your implants. We allow up to 3 versions of teeth during the healing process to ensure the dentist and patient is happy with the look and feel. As your implants heal your dentist will create a series of prototypes for your implant bridge. These prototypes will be used to test the fit and function of the bridge before it is permanently placed.
STEP 5
STEP 6

HEALING

The implants will need to heal for 4-6 months before the next step can be taken. Dr. Bally will also provide a night guard to help prevent excess pressure from going to your implants. As you heal you will remain on a soft diet.

PROTOTYPING AND VERIFICATION

Once the implants have healed, your dentist will create a final prototype of your dental bridge. This prototype will be verified to ensure that it is the correct size, shape, and color. Before authorizing the fabrication of your new zirconia implant smile.
STEP 7
STEP 8

DELIVERY

This is the appointment where your permanent dental bridge is placed. The procedure typically takes about 1 hour. It's a truly rewarding visit for everyone.

POST-DELIVERY CONSULT AND DOCUMENTATION

This appointment is held after your new zirconia implant smile is installed and your final night guard is given and instructions to maintain your smile are discussed. Final pictures, X-rays and video mark the end of your zirconia implant smile journey.
STEP 9
STEP 10

MAINTENANCE

Your zirconia implant smile will need to be maintained on a regular basis to ensure that it continues to function properly. This may include cleaning, adjustments, and checkups.

Mouth Impressions

The lab utilizes specialized materials to fabricate your temporary implant bridge(s). In cases where you have multiple missing teeth in the treated area, the doctor might recommend a wax try-in. This involves creating a wax model of your temporary implant bridge to ensure proper bite alignment, aesthetics, and other important factors.

Procedure

The procedure involves the extraction of any necessary teeth and the subsequent insertion of implants. Furthermore, temporary implant bridges will be placed. On average, the process usually lasts around 4 to 7 hours.

Post Op #1

Please ensure to monitor the healing progress after the procedure and don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.

Post Op #2

After 3 weeks from the procedure, when the appointment is scheduled, the sutures will be removed and the healing progress will be evaluated. Typically, at this stage, the patient will be given permission to start using a water flosser or WaterPik.

Final Teeth Impressions

After 4 months of the procedure

Try In

Once we have taken impressions, we will provide you with a prototype of your final teeth within 5-10 days. In certain cases, multiple wax try-ins may be required. Ensuring your satisfaction with the wax try-ins is crucial before proceeding with the final production. Please note that once the fabrication process is completed, it will not be feasible to make any changes to the bridge(s). If you decide to make modifications to your bridge(s) after approving and fabricating them, a full-cost remake charge will be incurred.

Seat Final Teeth

Once you have approved the wax try-in(s), it typically takes approximately 4-6 weeks to prepare your bridge or bridges for seating.
