What is Snap-in Implant Dentures?
Snap-In Implant Dentures are dentures specifically crafted to effortlessly attach (snap-in) to the dental implants installed by your doctor. By anchoring your dentures with dental implants, you can experience the following benefits:
- Enhance your enjoyment of favorite foods: By opting for dental implants to secure your denture, you can experience improved chewing ability and increased confidence.
- Permanent: No need to remove from the mouth like a denture.
- Experience the joy of a worry-free smile and laughter without any worries about your dentures becoming loose
- Enjoy enhanced comfort: Experience less movement and irritation with dentures
- Improve your nutrition : Enhance your digestion by chewing food thoroughly
- Requires minimal bone : Ideal for individuals with insufficient bone for implants.
- Prevent bone loss : Dental implants stimulate the jaw to promote ongoing bone production, even after natural teeth have been removed, preventing further bone loss.
- Minimize gagging sensation: In specific cases, it is feasible to surgically remove a portion of the palate, exposing the roof of the mouth. This surgical intervention aids in reducing or eliminating the unpleasant sensation of gagging that may arise from wearing dentures.
- Enhanced comfort : Dental implants are effective in reducing or eliminating the discomfort caused by denture movement.
- Improve your enjoyment of food: If you have implants, you may be able to have a part of the upper denture's palate removed. This can enhance your ability to taste and savor your meals.

How Many Dental Implants Are Needed for You?
- An upper implant denture requires a minimum of four implants.
- A lower implant denture generally requires at least 2 implants, although using 3 or 4 implants typically provides improved retention and stability.
Snap-in Implant Dentures vs. Traditional Dentures
Although traditional dentures are favored for their appealing look and affordability in treating tooth loss or damage, they often fall short in terms of overall functionality, stability, and chewing capability. Here are a few disadvantages of non-implant dentures:

Traditional Denture Challenges - Chewing, Speech, Comfort Issues
- The ability to chew is greatly reduced due to the movement of the lower denture, resulting in only 10-20% of the strength compared to natural teeth. The lower denture remains unstable due to the continuous pressure from the tongue and cheeks.
- Speech : Speaking may pose challenges due to the mobility of the lower denture.
- Embarrassment : It is caused by the fear of dentures becoming loose and falling out, which leads to the inability to eat around others, laugh loudly, and converse confidently.
- Feeling uneasy : Traditional dentures, particularly lower ones, have a tendency to shift, which can lead to gum irritation and discomfort due to rubbing and chafing.
- Inadequate nutrition : Patients may struggle to consume a well-rounded diet and properly digest food due to the loss of chewing power.
- Bone loss : When a person has their teeth extracted, they usually experience significant bone loss, which continues throughout their lifetime. Consequently, wearing traditional dentures becomes increasingly challenging as time goes on.
- Gagging: The conventional upper denture is created to provide suction and stability by covering the roof of the mouth. Nevertheless, some people may experience gagging as a result of this coverage. Modifying the denture to alleviate gagging may lead to decreased stability and a loss of natural suction.
Snap-In Implant Dentures greatly improve all of these issues.

Timeline for the Snap-In Implant Dentures Procedure
The typical duration of the process is usually around 6 months from start to finish.
Procedure
After extracting all the remaining teeth and completing any necessary oral surgery, the implants are placed into the jawbone. Following this, the implants typically become inconspicuous and stay undisturbed in your jaw for at least 4 months. During this period, osseointegration occurs, which is the process of your bone merging with the implants.
Post Op
We are excited to meet you for a short post-operative appointment, usually scheduled for the day after your procedure. At this visit, we will evaluate your mouth, ensure that your dentures fit correctly, and answer any questions you may have.
Soft Liners / Soft Re-Fittings
Soft liners are specifically created to offer a cushioning effect for your gums while you heal and wear dentures. They effectively bridge the spaces between your gums and dentures, improving the fit and overall comfort of your dentures.
Uncovery
This message aims to explain a simple surgical procedure involving the exposure of implants and the placement of small healing abutments. The purpose of this procedure is to shape the gum tissue and prepare it for the attachment of snap-in dentures in the future.
Implants Being Attached to Dentures
We have the option to substitute your healing abutments with denture abutments and carry out the necessary procedures to connect your dentures to your implants. Typically, this entire process can be completed within a day, although there may be instances where it could require a little more time.
